The basic characteristics of external fire escape stairs
The metal fire escape stairs that we design and build meet precise safety requirements, according to the fire prevention code (Ministerial Decree of 3 August 2015, later amended by Ministerial Decree of 18 October 2019).
Specifically, they feature:
- A self-supporting structure made of fireproof metal;
- One access point for each floor of the building to the staircase;
- A non-slip floor;
- Railings on both sides with fixed height and diameter;
- A width of not less than 120 cm;
- A retractable handrail with overhang;
- Ramps with a predetermined number of steps;
- Steps with fixed size tread.
